The September 11th Memorial at Cemetery of the Holy Rood features the names of over 400 men and women who lost their lives due to the events of September 11, 2001. If you have a loved one who passed away on 9/11/2001 or due to a 9/11-related illness, their name may be added to the memorial at no cost to the family. Your loved one does not need to be buried in one of our cemeteries in order to have their name added. In order to have a name added to the memorial, please click the link below to access the Memorialization Request Form.
Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island would like to add any eligible names to the memorial in time for the 20th anniversary of September 11th. In order to have your loved one’s name added by this September 11, families will need to complete the request form and submit it to Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island by July 31, 2021.
For all questions regarding our 9/11 Memorial, please contact Ann Andersen, Associate Director of Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island through email at AAndersen@CCLongIsland.org.
